Retford Golf Club, watch out! 2025 is going to be a year to remember!
Let’s agree to have a year of laughs, memories and sportsmanship. My promise to you all is to have open arms to any approach, be aware of a straight answer to any questions : )
Having been a full member for 33 years, I have seen tremendous changes at our club. I feel the course is an absolute credit to Carl and his team. I feel confident they will all continue to go the extra mile to move the course forward again in 2025.
Working alongside our Professional Team, Kevin, Craig and Ian, plus the Lady Captain, Lynda Moore, and Vice-Captain, Gary Corr, will ensure I am kept on the right path. Blame them if I fall off it!!!
My chosen charity is Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance operating out of Waddington, Lincolnshire. It is a self-funding organisation that desperately needs as much financial assistance as possible, ensuring each and every one of us gain the benefit of an amazing emergency service should it ever be required.

Thank you Retford for giving me the opportunity to take on the role of Ladies Captain. I feel it is a club like no other, offering a great course, great friends with a wonderful group of ladies.
Since joining the Golf club in 2019, I have learned a great deal from the expertise of committee members and past captains.
Ros Waterhouse Captain 2024 set me a good example to follow. I know all the ladies will be there to support me in 2025.
I have so enjoyed representing the club in the Interclub, Taskers, Friendlies and Silver league matches. My golf life can be so busy, playing Tuesday or Saturdays in competitions, or joining some of the ladies fiddles in the week, not to mention the mixed competitions on Sundays.
A big thank you goes to our dedicated greens staff for their hard work, managing to keep us playing golf all year round.
In my Vice Captaincy year I enjoyed giving the gardens around the 1st tee and half-way house a face-lift, gardening is my passion.
I look forward to working with Mark Allan, our Club Captain, and wish him and Gary Corr, his Vice-Captain, all the best for a successful season ahead.
Finally my chosen charity is Bassetlaw Hospice which holds a special place in my heart.
